I was told that water supply is cut off after 3pm during summer to save water. If you don't live with at least a decent tank and pump, then it's hopeless.
I live in Bong Bong, about 2km uphill from the town centre. Our water supply is fine and available all day.
Here in East Balabag Valencia the water pressure from the town is very low. Unusable, really. We are fortunate to be close to the Dumaguete boundary. The Dumaguete utility required us to get written permission from the Valencia water department before they would hook us up. So, we met with the Valencia water dept Engineer who gave us the approval without question, saying that we have no other feasible options than to buy water from Dumaguete or digging a well. He explained that the problem was the rapid growth of Valencia and the utility cannot keep up. To hook up to Dumaguete, we have a fairly long run 200 meters to the water source but it is ok. We had to buy that long run of black plastic water pipe. However, even though hooked up to Dumaguete, not all is perfect. Even Dumaguete water on the boundary turns off every night from 12:00AM to 5:00 AM. The Valencia town engineer estimated a cost of P150K for a well in our area so we may go for it one day. Also, we could probably hook up the both Valencia and Dumaguete if we had a check valve to prevent Dumaguete water from flowing into the Valencia water system. I never would have thought that Valencia would have a water issue with such a great source of supply from Mt. Talinas but the rapid growth is a real problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I saw him out watering the garden the other day as if there was no shortage. Maybe he unintentionally emptied the tank.
Yes, there is a pumping station just down the road from me in E. Balabag. Even if there's brown-out, they have a generator to keep the water flowing. Problem is, there is no pressure regulator on the pump. Every few months I have to replace hoses and fixtures that rupture due to excessive pressure when the pump kicks in. I've pleaded with them to no avail. I need to install my own pressure regulator on my water line.
