Right, maybe the Zumba dancing right next to the non-working escalator going up to the movie section is a hint?

The Escalators in the department store are working every-time.
But for us with a baby in a stroller its a bit dangerous not having the elevator.

Good point, the 2nd floor wouldn't be wheelchair accessible without an elevator either.

Escalators in the department store are definitely not always working. They were breaking down the first month the store opened.

Purchased a baby stroller...had to carry the large box down the non operational escalator stairs without holding the hand rails.

or maybe they could just keep them serviced so that people who cant climb stairs don't have to... 5 escalators and one elevator and none in service is not by accident..

Forgot about those and they've worked more times i've been there. Maybe since that's a separate profit center (the other escalators are strictly overhead, zero profit), I'm not surprised, will have to remember that.

Not just too “lazy”. Some of us in our seventies find it very inconvenient to climb up those escalators, panting when we get to the top in my case. This has definitely caused me to spend my money elsewhere but I do not consider it to be a problem. Even if I were 40 I would not care for the inconvenience. There are plenty of alternate locations where I don’t have to climb 25 1 foot stairs to get to the top. And again, Im not complaining, just not shopping upstairs at Robinsons.

As a person with disability, I wish, if only one direction escalator was working, the down one rather than the up one was working. I don’t mind so much making the climb up but the down one is unsafe for me. Still, not that big of a deal and worth complaining about.
