In another thread here it states that a German was shot outside the bar. Unless there were two shootings at the bar I believe the "owner" (obviously there is a Filipino that actually owns the bar) would have been that German.
Is this the same shooting being mentioned in the other new thread titled OMG? Something about a chsnge of business ownership?
Last warning. I will issue points and a permanent ban on this thread to the next person who brings it up.
At least he isn't dead for God sake. That are good news. Was this morning in Valencia to have a Bratwurst and some beers together with some other German mates. One of them mentioned the name of the victim, but nobody knew any details or background information.
You lot can finish off your arguements about your english on the off topic forum, this thread is not about that.
Was Martin the new owner of Gie-Gies ? I was there recently and met the German owner (didn't get his name) but he seemed like a very charming, friendly guy who was serious about building a good business for the long term. We spoke for only about half an hour but my impression was that he was the quiet and conscientious type as he talked about the improvements he was making and had planned for the bar. He said he had a restaurant in the food court at Robinsons and was looking to improve the food offering at Gie-Gies. I am very sorry to hear of yet another casualty to violence in the City of Gentle People.
This subject seemed to get quiet real quick.. anyone really know what happened or will it become another of those mystery's the same as every other expat shooting here...
