My step daughter went to Don Bosco. She got a fairly good education in my opinion. The school seems fairly strict as her mom had to sign the daily diary if the daughter was tardy, absent or did anything outside the rules. The fees are not that big. The carpenter that built our house was making 500 pesos a day and he had one of his kids at Don Bosco so the fees must be affordable.
My boy is in his third year at Don Bosco and both and my wife and I are very happy with the academics there. It is a Catholic school but accepts non-Catholics.
Yes, I know that you speak as one who knows but there is a language called Filipino here. It was an attempt to renationalise and unify the country by the Marcos administration and has been taught in all the schools along with English. Had an email reply from ONE Interntional School and they told me their school would be starting grade 7 and 8 from September 2019. The fees are P440,000 a year!! about double for a good private school here in Australia.
This school is great but its too expensive. Not affordable. For kids 2-4yrs old, the fee is 120,000 a year or 12k/month
23 May 2019: I heard from a friend that One International recently sent out an extra invoice for a P 30,000 "reservation fee" to ensure a "place on the wait list" for a kid who has already been going there for two years. My friend would like to hear from anybody else with KIDS ALREADY THERE who got this. My friend joked that he's concerned about a school that teaches extortion. ?????
That does not sound legal. I know Silliman University is requiring a Php 1,500 reservation fee but the amount is deductible from the student's down payment when he enrolls. Schools asking for such big amount as Php 30,000.00 even if the child is an old student sound shady.
