What is the current visa turnaround in Dumaguete? Will they make exceptions for those of us who live on other islands, like Siqijor? There are no cell numbers for me to call their office in order to get current information. Thanks ahead for any information.
Siquijor! Actually for all the same rules. Depends on your status of staying in he Philippines. Just ask what you want to know here at the Forum.
Since I live on Siquijor, can I get my visa renewed in the same day if I arrive early in the morning? I just need to catch the late afternoon ferry to Siquijor? They have made exceptions before, but will they do so now and into the future?
Takes about a week. Drop off and return a week later. About a 5-6 hour round trip using Montenegro or Aleson. Ocean Jet will get you there quicker and you might be lucky to make it back on a fast craft - 3-5 hrs. No escaping this one I’m afraid.
For a Visitor visa you can apply “EXPRESS”, pay 1K Peso more, and receive it the same day afternoon. But since rules always change, better confirm with BI the actual status by phone.
better be 1st in the door in the morning and pay the express fee, and collect later in the afternoon, if not its 2 different days you gotta go there, better pay the express save yourself the time and grief of 2 trips
I l ow someone who paid an express fee and then they told him to come back 3pm the next day to collect. I don't know if he had gone earlier in the morning if it would had been same day service.
Visited IM this morning @10:30am to renew visa. A foreigner in front of me being served for his extention opted for the express lane and was told to collect his passport following day. Could not hear what time.
Many guys used to go in, do the paperwork, pickup their passport the next time they were due for renewal. A modification of that would be if you come to Duma for a once a month shopping run pick up your passport then instead of making a special trip.
