We have a cattle fence from Europe(made in Poland), sandwiched between 2 strands of barbed wire on top of our blind side walls, 3m above ground level. Solar powered, 12V rechargeable battery that puts out between 4500-9000V, at very low amperage, every couple of seconds even in rainy season. So far collected 2 step ladders(bamboo) that would be intruders have left behind. I have personally tested it at 4500V, very effective, couldn't use an arm for about 2 hours afterward and cleared my earwax problem too. Only thing I've needed to do with it in 6 years, is one change of battery, easily available here and changed the conduction wire(to German stainless steel).

Have a mixed German Shepherd that’s 4months old who likes to chew just about anything. She’s not a barker...just stares at anything near the front gate. Her name is Dazey.

Can’t imagine living in a town that requires razor wire. We used military grade wire .in front of our armored vehicles after we pulled into a lagger position.

Well...I think the OP put something out there that the razor wire and cost for anyone interested; I would assume helpful for folks looking that way to protect their property/family/self.

I personally lean towards big dogs and cameras for the house but that is not for everyone.

If we get some land we are looking at for farming I will be fencing things off.

Someone should make a Filipino Guard Dog, take the Aspins, or street dogs and mix in some Malinois or some Bandog to give them a little more size and protection drive. There aren't many places where guard dogs are as valuable and needed as much as they are in the PI. The guard dog breeds that we know aren't as suitable for the heat, humidity and level of care they will likely get.

No reason to mix the Malinois, it may be the best guard and family dog in the world, for sure in top 5, but it is my personal opinion, which I share with a lot of people. Mix the breed will just spoil its skills

Lots of different opinions on this, I think the BM is a good breed for patrol work, less so for personal protection and area protection, but it is a good working breed for sure. Of course, it is more about the individual dog than the breed. I think no other dog is as well adapted to the Philippines as a Filipino dog though, and bring some pretty good traits to the table for the purpose they would be used for.

I trained German and Belgian Shepard most of my life on a high level for competition. Many of my training mates work in the army and police. You say the Malinois is not that good for personal protection and area protection, you don't know what you talk about. Police use these dog for personal protection, and in search for people, it can be criminals or sometimes kids/older people who are in a situation where they can't take care of them self and need help, same time these dogs can find DNA after different kind of crime. In the army, the main task is the protection of airports and other military areas which cover a large area and also search for mines in places like Afghanistan, one of my friends and his dog lost their life there, accident happens. Most of these dogs go with there dog handler home after work and I can guarantee you it's a lovely family dog, playful and good to kids and 100% will guard its family. I agree with you in one point and that's is like with all other living creatures there are individual differences
