Knives don't kill people, people kill people.

All kidding aside, at some point we need to start looking at correcting people and their actions. We can't keep passing laws that prohibit people's freedom. I carry a knife with me at all times, not to look for someone to stab, but for utility and self defense.

Technically anything can be used as a deadly weapon, even your own hands. I don't want to live in a society where you have to wear the obligatory hand cuffs before you get out of your house in case I decide to get crazy and kill someone with my hands.

Life is unfair, and unkind.. unfortunately these are the cards we are dealt in life.

You know what's more strange? A person killing someone for taking a mic away from them.

It isn't strange. Mental illness + alcohol = serious problems.

Looked like a kitchen knife, not a bolo, but I saw her son trying to discourage and interfere with her getting the knife out. Then he went back to boxing.

A knife does not have to be big or even that sharp to inflict severe injury or death.

My wife, Biebe and I have living in Siaton 6 years now. We are close to Tongo and AJs, Tambobo and we meet to have dinners. Yes if your a unknowing foreigner, drunkard, gambler and not accessible to Philippine ways (keriokee, fiestas, family ways, and culture) it can happen. We live in their country not ours. P.S, only time I was robbed and physically hurt was in SF, CA in 1993.

I'm wondering why the posting "[IMG] 3 dead as ex-US Marine in Talisay runs amok" involving a American murderer got only 6 reply's whereof 3 off topic
while this posting involving Filipinos is getting so much critics /attention?

That's an odd thing to wonder about.
Filipinos are not of more or less worth than a Marine. It isn't a competition to see who is the most messed up and there is only so much in this world we can get all worked up over.

Have you also wondered why topics on this forum (and pretty much any Asian niche forum) concerning parking, traffic and food catches people's attention 1000 fold more than either of the topics you just mentioned? If you want to up the post count on a Philippines forum all you have to do is ask for everyone's opinion on the local traffic and parking situation, and for even more posts, ask people how they think those problems could be resolved.
