Surely the secret to exporting goods is to find good quality at a low price. Generally, in competitive terms, low price means paying low wages (it could also mean low cost materials but sometimes they can be the same price in different countries) - this is a low-wage country. Perhaps people need to look more closely to see the opportunities.

Also, if you look around you will see businesses with foreign-connections (perhaps foreigner married to Filipino) which are very successful. It can be done.

So you intend to put up a call center/bpo in the Philippines? That is very good. The Philippine government had been encouraging investors to come and start their business here. That is why we already see the proliferation of enterprises owned and managed by expats or foreigners. I don't think that is a problem. In fact, it would greatly help our economy. The first thing you need to do is to register your business with DTI or the Department of Trade & Industry located across Scooby's near Lee Plaza. DTI is on the second floor of that building that houses a branch of BPI bank that is across Scooby's. Usually, the fee to have your business name registered is only around Php 300.00. Do you already have a name for your business? Also, getting a DTI certificate of registration is easy. You can even wait for it. After that, getting the Mayor's permit would require such documents as residence certificate (also easy to secure) and maybe ID pictures, etc.

This info may be wrong, i only drive by this sometimes, but if you go up first street, which is on the north side of City Mall on the north side of Duma, i believe the third house on the right houses co-working spaces, a hundred meters or so...

The Philippine Corporations Code was revised last February 20, 2019. The Philippines was dropping on the ease of doing business world ranking so they updated their corporate code to be more like most other countries.

Information on the Internet can be confusing because most of the references are to the old law.

    High Points:
    1) One person corporation is allowed. Used to be five minimum.
    2) No minimum stock requirement.

I believe that in addition to the finances you have, you should also consider whether you need it or not, and only then decide.

And if you do decide to start a business, keep in mind that it needs to be promoted and choose a place where people will go at least. Since I recently opened my own business, I know what kind of hemorrhoids and how much effort you need to put in to start earning and get at least a minor plus. And only thanks to my friend, who helped me and advised me to read all the information on the brain dump website, I could adequately organize my business from scratch. And now this business brings me good money, although I initially thought I would go bankrupt.

It's always risky to start a business, at least at 99% of the cases, because there can be businesses which require no investments at all almost, in the beginning, because it's based on a service, and you just need the right people, or be that one by yourself.
