The gummint worker i talked to in MNL said a month or so for new contract, but i'm not holding my breath. Good question about stuff going the other way, not sure if that is affected or not. If the air service FROM Manila is stopped, it might be the other way too.

I'm also beginning to investigate private (lbc; fedex; etc) companies, maybe can find one that isn't too outrageously priced to send things back and forth to US, skipping Phil Post altogether...

Sent my passport for renewal to the UK. Sent with Philpost paid P 1,750, they promised me that they would receive it in 7 days. Looked at the tracker and it's still in the Philippines in transit. That was 13 days ago grrrr.

If you miss any letter or parcel at PhilPost office, go up to the 2nd floor. Huge room with stockpiles of mail, they allow you to search there for your stuff. Friend of mine was surprised how many missing letters he found there.

I know it's too late in your particular case, but when I renewed my UK passport very recently I used JRS Express. Cost no different to what you quoted and was received in Liverpool around 5 working days later. I have always used them - no waiting around as is the norm with LBC and the guy that does the paperwork is impressively fast!

I need to mail an important notarized document to Mississippi. It must be postmarked 15 July 2019 or earlier. The copy was emailed yesterday.

Attorney said it wasn’t necessary to FedEx. He was a pilot at Clark AFB years ago. He knows the Philippine mail.
I was going to mail it certified Air mail but not express.

Let’s apply for an APO address...any one know how this is accomplished. Cebu has one.

JRS express, according to google maps is on Maria Christina Street (the one parallel and between Perdices and Real (national)... Also between San Jose and San Juan, which puts it about 1 block north of the back of Lee Super Plaza. Hope it's still there.....
