Don't know a family lawyer but I'll warn to be extremely careful on picking one and try and find references. So many will just try and rip you off (lawyers after all). But in the Philippines Legal Separation really means crap. Your still unable to legally have another relationship and while we know the law is rarely enforced unless a profit to be made by those enforcing you could still technically wind up in jail for having relations with someone other then your wife/husband.

Kind of a waste imo at least and I spent a LOT of time figuring out how to get finalized out of a bad marriage that ended a few years ago. I ended up having to go to Las Vegas (Nevada has easiest and least time involved for US Citizens divorce laws). 6 weeks residency required and can do it through a paralegal which total cost is about $1k from start to finish. and takes about 3 months to be finished and receive the divorce decree. Good option if no property and such to squabble over and if wife won't sign for Guam divorce.

If need a paralegal to talk to in Nevada send me a PM and can recommend the one who did mine.

You really need a good Coolangatta divorce lawyer when undergoing such thing. Lawyers can advice you with the right legal action and will protect your rights.

First thing you need to know is that their is a 6 month "cooling off" period before the court will even consider it. Not so in the case of an annulment.

Be nice if they finally did pass a Divorce Bill, since this is the only country on the planet that doesn't allow it.

Yes considering the President's current marital situation, I would say it is hardly going to be enforced.

All a legal separation does is make you not responsible for financial obligations your wife may make. You still cannot live with another woman nor can she live with another man..
