One of the local radio stations has been reporting a foreigner missing for a couple of days now.
Anyone else heard anything about this?

He sounds an experienced hiker so let's hope he is safe and no foul play has happened.

Did he go there alone? If he had company and is alive, then he probably should know. Why did he have to go to Mt. Talinis? I mean, locals wouldn't even dare go there. I hope he well though.

At 70 climbing a mountain is pretty risky business. If he was familiar with the mountain I suspect the outcome will not be good.

Thos guy was an alps tour guide back hine so was mega fit but as you say accidents happen and there are some steep sided ravines up there. I remember he got caught out as left it too late to walk home so just slept on a bench under the eaves of a hut.

It may be advisable for people to think of having the what3words app - where the whole world has been divided into 3m X 3m squares and each square has been assigned a unique identifier of just three words. This can make possible the location of a person who is lost in a remote place. https://what3words.com
