Best live band spots

We really liked The Vendetta Band when they regularly played at Flip Flops but they are not there anymore. Heard they were playing at the Octogon Sports Bar on weekends but maybe not anymore?

Any recommendations for good live bands? other than Honeycomb which we already love and visit.

 

Fifth Fusion, Friday night at Flip flops. Saturday night at Grumpies - a group of foreigner friends get together - 60's onwards rock an roll.

 

Honeycomb, Flip Flops, Octagon, Hayahay, Grumpys, Fin Bar (Dauin), Bamboo Bob's (San Miguel).

 

I personaly find this group very enjoyable, they play mostly old rock that you dont hear anywhere else here, play it well, and at a volume where you can still talk to the person next to you without screaming. they play most often at finbar, bamboo bobs, and south beach grill.

they are on facebook as ronyq and the bosabos brothers. there is more vids , and they anounce where there upcoming gigs are on fb. check out some of the other music posted there, they are differnet than any other band I have found here, very pleasent.

my issue with most band here is they all have the same 50-100 song playlist, you can go to 5 venues and hear the same songs done with differnnt levels of talent, this band does stuff I havent heard for 30 years.

 

Thanks Outcast, I live between Bamboo Bob's and Fin Bar, I will go along and check them out. As far as personal favorites go, my favorite group in the area is 'The Vendetta Band', used to enjoy watching them a few years back in Coco Amigo's and then 'FlipFlop's', nowadays they do mainly private gigs although they do still play once or twice a month in 'The Octagon' on a Sunday night.

 

The Vendetta Band are playing Octogon Sports Bar this coming Sunday Sept 22nd Eddie. Howabout we have a Duma Info Forum table? Chance to put a face to the members names and let their ladies meet up.
