    I like the part where it states that there are only 28,546 drivers licenses, yet even the number of registered vehicles is triple that, probably 10 times that of actual vehicles.

    I saw a post yesterday from the hpg stating that 80% of riders were now wearing helmets in the city. I wonder where they got that figure from as its not what i noticed.

    from the checkpoints, the otehr 60% were not counted becaus they stopped 100 meters sooner

    I always wondered why, when they know motorbikes stop 50m or so from the checkpoints, they do not have two mobile checkpoints quickly put in place 100m each direction from the main one and trap everyone in between - they could catch hundreds and have huge Xmas bonuses.

    Or why don't they just walk down there and begin asking for paperwork. If the owners claim it is not theirs, then tow it away. Strange way of conducting an operation, but maybe they have very specific rules of engagement, when you can see them sitting there making a mockery of you and what you do.

    I think you will find that they need to stay in one spot and not move but saying that i did see the pnp on a bike in pamplona today ride up to some of the parked bikes at a checkpoint.

    I'm a little concerned...gonna rent a motorcycle Monday. Should I just make sure it has current registration and insurance (and helmet)...

    CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION.
    I always keep a good color Xerox and 3 checkpoints had no complain.
    and wear the helmet.
