I need to get number plates printed for my car. Can anyone please give me a name and address of a business that does this in Dumaguete.
Is your car new and will be registered the first time? --> the dealer should care about your (temporary) plates. Is your car already registered and you just want to renew your plates? --> you have to deal with LTO! "Here are the steps to replace a lost or damaged license plate: File an affidavit of loss or mutilation at the LTO office where your car is currently registered. Submit your OR/CR, PNP-Highway Patrol Group clearance, and other LTO requirements."
Thanks very much for your quick reply. I only got the car ownership transferred into my name today at the LTO. It was originally bought and registered in Cebu just over a year ago. The person I bought it from told me to go into the LTO and pay 209 pesos for a letter authorising the printing of the number plates.
Go to the main LTO, tell the lady at the front desk you just purchased a car that is registered in Cebu. She will give you quite the checklist to have it put in your name. Then you can have a plate made.
Hi Steve, I have already changed it over to my name at the LTO. I then asked the LTO for an authority to print letter which I received today. I just now need to find someone to have the plates made. Do you know of a place that would do them for me. Cheers Rob
Hi Guys, Just an update on getting number plates printed in Dumaguete if anyone needs to know. This is a map that Kelly Bell sent to me on Facebook. The sign maker shop is halfway up the street on the right hand side.
We've had several plastic signs made over the last three years, including early plates for the car at the small sign shop next door to AceLogic, 10 meters north of Locsin on Santa Catalina, almost catty corner from Pasta King...
