    Max eclipse occurred at 1:25pm, Dec26.
    That's why it was darker outside for a few minutes!

    I thought about posting a heads-up, but you really needed to view this with proper solar glasses or filters (or welding glass). Even thru clouds! The media did a poor job of emphasizing this precaution. Staring at the eclipse with sunglasses will cause retinae damage! I don't want anyone to get hurt on my watch!:biggrin:
    I will definitely post any future cosmic events!

    Cool. I saw a 100% eclipse near Portland, OR a couple of years ago. Eerie feeling to see the sun disappear.

    Glad you got to see the Great American Eclipse! It's ironic because my old house north of Bend, Oregon was in the path of totality. What cool shots I could have had!
