I know many people sang high praises of Dr. Garupa at one time, but when I went to her office I was not impressed one bit. I don't know if it was the actual office itself, or the fact that her small child was running amuck in the office, or just the fact it didn't seem very clean....I can't put my finger on it, but I never went back there. I had to have an emergency root canal with crown (a few days before final departure back to the States), and I wish I could remember the name of the lady dentist I went to, but she was pretty good, however, my dentist here says the crown was not done properly, and it is titanium, it won't be easy to remove and replace!!
Considering the outcome that you relate, you'd have been better off with Dr. Myrine Garupa. For location, she has a professional profile on Facebook.
At the time I was in Dr. Garupa's office, it was not for the emergency treatment, because I very well might have used her at that particular time since it was urgent. However, I have had this crown since 2015, and it makes me wonder if the Dentist here is just trying to drum up business by telling me it needs to be re-done.
Yes, the dentist I use here in Oklahoma told me my crown would need re-done as it does not fit properly. I have not pursued getting it redone as of yet. He said we can wait and keep an eye on it.
we left her because of her charges. she wanted 14000 to fix my wifes denture and would not discuss anything less expensive. ONG clinic fixed them for 4000. her work was always satisfactory although she is not very personable in my opinion
hahahaha, well i just had a molar pulled here in dumaguete. the dentist here told me the crown was put on incorrectly in norman oklahoma. i did have trouble with the dentist in ok and left him after this crown. i am now at an age where i do not invest in expensive dental work! readers digest did a cool study years ago which i think basically concluded you can't trust dentists in the states. not sure about the phils but my personal experience is mixed so far.
I do not know if you have tried Dr. and Dra. Ong. The husband and wife are both dentists, and their son and daughter are dentists too. Dra. Ong was my classmate back in high school and she was one of the most responsible and intelligent students in our class. Right now, I think they are the only ones who perform complicated dental procedures and their equipment are likewise state-of-the-art. Their clinic is located after the public market going south before what they call "bag-ong taytayan" (new bridge). It is the same road straight from DCCCO---I am sorry I do not know the name of the road but a lot of people can immediately point you to the place.
