We have two female Aspin puppies born in our garden in Dauin about 8 weeks ago. Is anyone interested in adopting these little cuties? Or maybe you know someone who might be interested?

Would prefer if they are homed together and they definitely need a garden or yard as they are energetic and very playful.

Please message me if you can help.

    Thank you very much.

Cute critters but like the Philippines needs more dogs. Did someone drop them off or did you just forget to spade your dog?

If you read the post you have the answers to your questions, no one drops the puppies off and it is not the posters dog who delivered the puppies. Why are you always so grumpy? There are people around with a good heart and feelings to other living creatures, you are for sure not one of them, but don't be so negative to people who care, get a life and try to be a little more positive, it can be a good feeling

Thank you for your support Liverpool Fan  You are absolutely correct, the mother is one of the many beach dogs in Dauin who just happened to choose our garden to have her pups. We are trying to look after them but not possible due to the fact we are leaving soon. However, we do not want to add to the growing numbers of wild beach dogs so trying to find them a good home as an alternative.

Actually for your information osodelnorte, I am sitting a city vet right now with the mother getting her spayed. The residents of our compound have clubbed together and will get 4 of the beach dogs spayed at our own expense, time and energy. Thanks for your interest perhaps you would like to contribute too as you seem concerned about the numbers of dogs out there?

Jeepni, I been in the same situation as you more than one time, one time a young female deliver 3 puppies on my terrace and left, my gf and I feed them up with milk in bottles and I still have one of them a male he turns 5 next month. We spray and vaccinate most of the stray dogs around our place. To keep the population of stray dogs down, sterilize the animals is the way to go IMHO. It can be done for free 1-2 times a year at the vet upstairs at the public market in Dumaguete. Just now my gf is in the local barangay in Bacong and gets a puppy vaccinated against rabies, it's for free but we give a small donation. I accept not all people like animals but not their business complain about others who care for animals, I wish they would take care of their own business. Yes, stray dogs in the Philippines are a problem, in the traffic, they can give disease, rabies is not funny, and also many kinds of other diseases to pet dogs but it can never be wrong to sterilize and vaccinate the stray dogs. We have found good homes for some of the stray dogs (FB is great for that) who we find can be a good family dog, not all the dogs fit in that term. It can maybe sound like we are little "holy" but that's far from the truth, it just a small effort to do and we both like animals, they can give a lot back. Wish you can find good homes for your 2 puppies, they look healthy and very cute

Thank you for getting your dog spayed and for your community rising to the situation. Quite frankly I have never been anywhere with so many feral dogs. Would love to contribute to your dog but I got my own dog problem here at my home.

Given the number of rats I am surprised that feral cats aren't running rampant. Guess they don't scare witches.

Not always grumpy Father. Practical. Pragmatic. Simply asked a question in such a way to point out the problem; generate a positive conversation on a BIG problem... and by the way I was right. A beach dog dropped them off. Furthermore giving away cur puppies to people, no matter the good intentions, who will tie them up outside, barking day and night is not my idea doing positive. Spaying, Castration and Euthanizing are.

At my part of the island dogs run in pack's, eating live stock, other dogs, spreading disease and threatening people. I do not hate dogs, in fact I like them. I feed my neighbors and play with her but I will not be overrun by them. If I was left to my own, disease ridden, starved as most are and given no love, I would kiss the guy who sent me to the next life.

PS Neighbor's dog is spayed. She doesn't stay up all night barking at witches either. Maybe because my neighbor is responsible for her pets.

    Thank you for the chastising...

Thanks for your understanding of our situation and no worries for a contribution, that was rather tongue in cheek . Actually, the cash side is the easiest bit, it's the transport and after care that cause the most difficulty. Still keep trying though, one done so far, 3 more to do and a couple of male dogs as well.

Re the cats, based on 4 years here, I notice there are more and more nowadays, trouble is the rats are as big as the cats!

Still trying to find homes for the pups in case anyone knows someone who would be interested.

    Best wishes
