FMP/Tricare Info

Had the opportunity to visit the Medical City in Iloilo yesterday. Opened in 2010 and is located in Molo area. I went into the Managed Care Section with my FMP Eligibility Letter in hand.

Really nice people, they enrolled me and made a copy of my Eligibility and informed me I would not need to bring it each time I came. They can cover all of my VA Disabilities including my heart condition. They are the Heart Center of Western Visayas and can cover everything from bypass surgery on down.

Now the good news. You pay nothing, not one centavo. They complete the claim and file it for you.

But wait shopper, there is more. This same managed care also has a person that takes care of Tricare claims. I filled out a simple form and they enrolled me with their hospital. Once you hit your deductible, then you are billed the normal 25% and they bill Tricare for the rest. They also file the claim for you, you don't have to do it.

Fully equipped hospital. So, if you don't have an emergency but require a procedure that might seem pricey, a trip there might be worth it.

Nice place Iloilo, great golf course as well. Think actually it was the first golf course in the Philippines if I am not mistaken.

 

If you contact the person I gave in my post, they will set up a consult that will work with your schedule. Then you will be able to talk with the cardiologist and see what they want to do. Some nice hotels in the area, look for hotels near Festive Mall on MegaWorld Drive or Blvd. I stayed at the Marriot, it was really nice.

 

Sorry I just posted what I was given. They did say that from time to time they had connectivity problems. I know they have a facebook page also. Might want to try sending a message that way. Keep trying, or phone. I'm just the messenger.
