It is being said, local construction supplier Y Y Trading notified employees that they will close next Thursday due to their vendors not being able to deliver their restocking orders and their stock was being depleted. Y Y Trading and LKC Supply provide most of the construction materials for the Dumaguete area.

The owner of Y Y Trading also owns Yan Yan which supplies most of the flour and baking supplies for bakeshops and restaurants.

the valencia sunday farmers market is closed. however, the egg guy that sets up on the stairs by the food court, above taco tommie, is open on the street that goes down from his normal spot.

the sibulan weekend farmers market is open. the sibulan market place area and all of sibulan commercial appears to be open as usual. this includes most all shops

Excellent quarantine procedure - especially the insistence on a mask and monitoring temperature. Other places (stores/markets) please follow.

It's one of the biggest problems related to business for sure, during this pandemic. If the big businesses got affected so much, then imagine how impactful it was for the small ones, which don't have big resources to work with during some crisis situations. Most of us just don't see these problems, but this doesn't mean that they don't exist. Being able to recover from this it's very important, therefore you can always for help on https://www.antonybatty.com, for a professional advice or guidance during the entire process.

The Golden Goose laid a Balut!

Building owners priced their rent on continuing establishments increasing business by tourists until Covid.

Where are the Chinese, Korean, European and Americans that used to fill our hotels and restaurants and the students staying home by decree.

Free WiFi didn't attract the students to barista coffee. The Essencia hotel was favorite to the Chinese and Korean because they were used to walking everywhere and travelled with their families thinking nothing having to walk up to the Lantau area for an evening meal

Marina was pitched to be investments for those well heeled tourists which is dried up for now.

Downtown and the downtown Boulevard are belt tightening which even Grab and Food Panda can't prolong the suffering and for rent and foreclosures are soon to follow.

Mobile consumers have moved on in their search for food and drink north of Tiki Bar to Silliman Beach with their restomalls closeby to Mooon and Shaka. Vendors that used to be on the right away have moved to a more permanent location on the short section of road that ends at Silliman Beach. The barangay charges them P20 a day.

Tourism will be hard to start over regardless of whether The Smart City progresses or not.

We haven't seen all the opportunities ahead.
