    Hello All,

    I've been detained here in Negros due to the COVID-19 Crisis. I had a flight to leave Dumaguete on the 28th and to leave Manila on the 29th, but my plans seem to have been dashed for the moment. My employer has graciously agreed to allow me to work remotely, but I'm missing one component to make this easy. I need a USB smart card reader so I can authenticate with government applications using my US Military Common Access Card (CAC). Is anyone aware of a business in Negros that sells one, or does someone have one I might buy/borrow? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Found one. When you say "detained" what do you mean by that? Detained due to symptoms or detained as in stranded can't leave the island?

    Just stranded for a time I guess. No sickness at all. My wife and I both are on the other side of our 14 day mandatory home quarantine. We're in Basay at the moment, but staying in the Maefinn in Bayawan.

    Oh dang. I can't get to Basay or Bayawan. I'm not aware of any shops that sell CAC readers in your area or even Dumaguete. If you can get someone to Dumaguete or Valencia I can meet them there.

    back in the old country, we would put such items on the bus for the cost of a seat; terminal to terminal. the conductor/helper would also do shopping for u while they were in queue and drop it off at your house.

    The uv express vans that run to bayawan also will take small stuff for p50
