It is going to be a hell of a shock to a lot of the locals when this quarantine is not over on the 18th..it will keep going until these people decide to start staying home.. all the check points in the world are not going to make any difference. I can see this Expanded Quarantine turning into a "Heard Immunity Situation"

tnx for the heads up pat, ya hafta wonder why no liquor sales? i sent the dog out to canvas the neighborhood sari-saris and, as of 4pm, we can still buy booze in sibulan. i'll send my drone out tomorrow am on a test purchase. pero also reported that the public mkt had about 25 people in queue and the mkt area was buzzing with people; many physical distancing and mask violations. kids playing basketball behind the school in the hiway; no masks. in fact lotsa kids pass the house w/o PPE.
Perhaps to stop men forming drinking groups and to prevent crazy booze-fueled people thinking about aggressive responses to authority. But who knows for sure. But don't they make booze here from tree sap and probably other methods? The danger with home-made spirits is that if done incorrectly they are poisonous.
