Maybe we should create a new post being "Cheese Fondue" ?.. Good to know that Gerber's box are available in Why Not (yes more for desperate case !) and that (real !) Gruyere can be found in town. Don't get me wrong, please !.. I've said cognac instead of Kirsch and of course 2-3cl max ...cannot even imagine how discuting it could be a fondue made only with Kirsch I use to cook (my) fondue with 35%Gruyère 35%Vacherin and 30%Appenzeller and crushed garlics (knöbli, not necessary swiss grown )....Fendant if available or another dry white wine or sparkel one as you said.... Rosé wine and sparkel can be used as well...for romantic Fondue
Sounds tasty and brings back dinner memories with friends, fondues and raclettes. I imagine now days my veins would clog up before the morning after. However, I bet your wine selection might increase the survival. I just remembered, way back then we drank Mateus with those dinners. Thanks
Nice. I miss the pickled gherkins and raclette. The last of the cheese was done last November. I need a Red Cross parcel! I do still have a little scharfziger however. Just remembered that!
Haha, no but I used to hang around in Glarnerland a bit... Mollis, Walenstadt, Flumserberg, Sargans, Maienfeld. Nice area, good hearty food, and surprisingly good wine.
