That was the side affect of that one individual vaccine. A new one could have unknown and new risks at higher numbers, and with politics the way they are today, the large numbers of idiots and populace sociopaths (Trump, Duterte, Winnie the Pooh, that knob in Hungary, Johnson, etc) with their desperation to get everything up and running again to maintain power, I simply do not trust they will do what is in the best interest of the people or even inform us of the dangers. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that they would kill millions just to stay in office. I know where they can shove any rushed vaccine created during their time in office, ESPECIALLY if it came with any assistance from a Chinese lab.

The first link implies the SARS-CoV2 came from the Wuhan lab without giving any source to back that up. They also jump to some incorrect conclusions with the sources they do provide: such as saying the US (implying that it is the government doing it) is wanting to blame China because civil cases are being filed by American citizens. Citizens can file civil cases for any reason against any person, entity or government they want and they do it all the time...that doesn't mean the cases will be won or even see their day in front of a judge or jury.

It looks like very sh*t reporting with an extremely obvious agenda. Looking at Miss Lin's other articles it seems very obvious, IMO, her articles rely far more on opinion and agenda than serious journalism. Seems she is a bit of a snowflake and a sensationalist fear mongering hack and Chinese apologist. Example: she writes of "interment camps for Chinese Americans?" (If there is a question asked in an article's title the answer is almost always "no, there is no evidence to support the question".)

She also writes of "China might take Iran’s side in a war with US" where she goes on to say we are in the middle of a cold war while pointing to a source that says no such thing. She is a hack and Asia Times' editors don't seem too concerned with verifying their writers' sources.

I wish the US (my country) had universal coverage and it would be quite possible if employer paid insurance (useless when you lose your job) were diverted to taxes paid to the US government as insurer, that included the whole population as the risk pool. The problem is politicians there who receive campaign contributions from insurance and pharmaceutical companies, ie who do not want to go out of business. Health insurers have no business being a part of this process; the only way for their shareholders to profit is to charge more while reducing care. Plus they charge high administrative costs as an unnecessary middleman and roadblock to cheaper care. One would think that the Democratic Party in the US would push universal health care, which would almost guarantee election victories in my opinion (though they are not willing to risk possible loss of campaign funds). But democrat Bernie Sanders who pushed “medicare for all” was sidelined by the party and replaced with Biden whose campaign relies on contributions from insurance companies. Biden of course rejects medicare for all. It is a shame and something must be done about it. At least the current administration will have government pay for all COVID19 cases (not pushed by the party of the working people!) but that is a small drop in the bucket, especially because by the numbers, COVID19 is not that expensive because, in spite of the extensive fear porn raised by the media, COVID cases are a relatively low occurrence over the entire population. The US desperately needs REAL campaign finance reform.

my point was about the fact that
    - US government is financing a virology lab in China with 3,7m $
    - US scientists take research and manipulate a virus they found on bats together with Chinese scientists.
I am quite sure that the majority of American voters doesn't know that.
It might change the tone of discussion about the virus and it's origin if people would be informed better.

No, this conspiracy theory is sometimes mentioned in the US news. Most people have heard these ravings just as they have heard about UFO’s and little green mensevretlymeeying with President Trump. American, European and other research organizations have funded studies in the Wuhan lab; it is common to pay for research and it is quite a prominent facility. There are laws about transporting bio materials and a few people were caught doing that but such material did not include bio weapons. They break the law to expedite their work. It is not common for foreign researchers to pay for bioweapons development or viruses that cause pandemics; they are usually trying to formulate new vaccines and the like for useful and peaceful purposes. A few nutbags buy into the conspiracy theories you are implying but not many, even the anti-Trump news media. The Chinese have also funded studies in the US and other locations sophisticated enough to have level 4 security bio-labs. Not many if those exist in the world. Most people do not believe that China or anybody else intentionally released a virus to take over the world, or reduce the population of a new world order lol. Such people need to be locked up with the people who have been accosted by aliens from Area 52 while sleeping. And Bill Gates is not trying to create demand for a vaccine so he can plant microchips into everyone. And that is not the mark of the beast. Lol.

The majority of voters world wide don't know even the basics of standard scientific research. In this case, whether true or false, on a the discovery of a new strain of SARS CoV-2 found in bats. This is quite normal research and without such research scientists would have no way of understanding for example the morphogenesis of the virus (how it changes over time). Thankfully today we have some idea of how these things work and we are better prepared to tackle them. So in a rare admission I give thanks to the US for their apparent funding of this now I'm sure, important research.

This was not my point. I have not mentioned one of all these conspiracy theories that you brought up. In fact, I find it more scary that there is NOT a conspiracy because these people from scientists to presidents find it normal to manipulate viruses, research on bioweapons etc - don't we humans have better options to create a human world? I do not need to waste my time with area 52 stories, it's horrible enough what is going on on the surface.

You said American scientists were funding virus research, American scientists worked with Chinese researchers together on virus research in ways the people were not aware of. Not true...you didn’t understand what I said was the reasons they do this was not bio weapons development and that such research for benevolent was common. In fact, I’m still not sure if you think benevolent virus research is possible with your emphasis on the conspiratorial model; bio weapons. Saying as you do that we worked with the Chinese to develop actual bio-weapons (ie your ‘factual’ reference to “scientists who find it normal to manipulate viruses, bio weapons etc., your words) is truly up there with Area 51. IF there had never been US and foreign-funded benevolent virus research performed in so-called bio labs l (separate from anybody who develops bio weapons), there would have never been vaccines developed for the small pox virus which killed 33% of those infected or for polio which devastated many lives. The bat virus like COVID19 or whatever you prefer to call it, Sars1, swine flu, mers and future will will always be out there anew and the more we know in advance, the better. Your reference to COVID’s possible “creation” in a virus lab is not founded scientifically. Nature likely created it based on researcher examination of its original genome, wherever it was released, which may or may not have been in a lab (accidentally) Furthermore it will take more work in virus labs to find a vaccine for this menace. But to position this as something the US people are unaware of and going unnoticed in some secretive manner by American and/or Chinese researchers possibly creating bio weapons is conspiracy THEORY and it is wrong.
