Here in Sibulan, and I've confirmed the same in neighboring barangays, even for the recently unemployed, it's 2 kilos of rice every couple of weeks. I wonder about the discrepancies between cities and provinces. Anyway, we (two) kept the first delivery. The next, we gave to a couple passing by. I did not recognize them as neighbors.

I find that post rather ridiculous. The statistics you are quoting must be from those who have been doing what was necessary to prevent or reduce spread. I am not aware of any statistic from any country which just totally ignored the virus and carried on with no restrictions what so ever. If you must post stuff like this back it up so the reader can go check your source. What you have just done here is one of the most stupid things I have seen since the corona virus started. After a fair bit of searching I only found one article which perhaps show a trend towards no restrictions and that is Sweden but even there there were recommendations made by government and restrictions were imposed. Sorry to be so blunt but to suggest that corona can be left untreated and it will just go away is beyond belief.

In my less than humble opinion over-60 are grouped with under-20 to keep the kids off the streets without pointing at them directly, given no school.

Well they said pretty directly that the reason for the >60 ban was higher risk and for kids, they spread too much. Both true. Can >60 take responsibility for their lives and manage their risks by themselves? They had better or they will kick the bucket for other reasons than covid lol. Not sure how they have been handling the ban for “other high risk persons” though; anybody knowing if they are locking up fat people for being out on the streets and obese?

Went out today. First time since April 2. It was nice. Had a Pass in my pocket, or as I say, a "Golden Ticket". Drove down to the Blvd, parked and went walking to NORECO to pay my bill. Walked past the PNB and then down Silliman. The checkpoint was there checking vehicles, never asked me anything, had a mask on. Got my bills paid and picked up a few things from the Y Not that I wanted.

Note: the Y Not had many different cheeses available. I think Marco is moving some of his stock from the kitchen out front.

Never asked to show a pass. The Water District and NORECO are both operating "senior lines", it was a breeze doing business.

Was really nice to walk around, not many people, easy to maintain social distancing.

    Oh, and I'm 68.

I really don’t care about staying at home being I am content with my family. Just need the bank once a month. Since the GCQ My wife makes me a strong Nescafe coffee which I now enjoy and save money not going to Bo’s, and the gym not allowed to open, plus no school, so no need to go to Dumaguete.

Are you a dumaguete resident? It may be different for people who live outside of Dumaguete!
