Yes, absolutely. May 7. Getting close though. May Day holiday today, cannot pay, celebrating the struggle of the socialist proletariat working class against the greedy capitalist bourgeoisie! Nothing open. Best wishes to all of the Communists of the group :joke: We are very appreciative of the many DI members who gave pm’d us offline with their AWESOME and sincere offers to help!!! What a group! This Wuhan virus will return every year for several years in the future, long after today’s elders have kicked the obligatory bucket and will probably return for decades years until it us dioecious out like smallpox and polio. On a more practical level, I have figured out that having the wife crying to the local Barangay captain actually works, even if unintended (she was very sincere, a true Filipina). I wanted to share that; putting yourself at their mercy may require ingestion of humble pie but it may be especially effective when sincere (everyone loves a big of reality show drama). We now know that barangays may be empowered to add some relief to the elder ban if they want, but: You must be sincere and try very hard. The certification they gave us was beautifully written and us effective for the DURATION of the quarantine. Wow. Kudus to our Barangay! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Valencia-Dumaguete road had a checkpoint. Helmets, shoes and masks were required. Not sure if they were checking IDs for age. I saw a trike driver getting a ticket on the boulevard and another vehicle with a lot of police around it doing something.
We just went through those two checkpoints on Jose Romero road (Valencia Dumaguete road). They just waved us through at the boundary and in Talay, both ways, and they did not bother to look at our new special certificate. Our certificate appears to be valid for the “duration” so we will be able to handle utility payments next week. Thank God! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
dont understand that mask business at checkpoints, are they now really requiring people to wear masks inside their car? so far I always passed all checkpoints without wearing a mask, either in car or wearing full face helmet on the bike.
It's ridiculous of course, since the driver and the passenger are family related. But to have more fun in the PH, just do it, to avoid an useless never ending discussion with the people doing the check.
