I heard rumor that GoHotel, Robinsons was going to use part of the hotel as a hospital for COVID-19 patients while still operating as a hotel. I sometimes stay there when in town but if this is true I will not. Anyone heard anything about this?

That is one of the main problems in the Philippines aka Dumaguete: I have heard rumors, my neighbour told me etc. If at least the media or the government would be a more reliable source. But as we all know, we can't change this. So I do as (some) Filipiinos do: Believe when I see it.

The government might keep such a plan under wraps for fear it would sow panic, the idea that there are many more cases than are reported. However, if there is anything to this plan I suppose it is a matter of quarantine of persons under observation, not for persons actually ill.

I said rumor because I did not hear it first hand but through my wife whose family member works at GHR and told her... for CV-19 positive patients. not quarantine..

Let's just hope everything goes well wether it's true or not.
There are always rumours here. Anybody hear anything about the Burger King? LoL

Burger King is going up at City Mall. I fell for that one.

Well, according to the local and Regional DOH we have not had any positives cases in Negros Oriental for more than a month, so business should be very slooooow.

That is very likely true. But evidently it is still vitally important (with all entry and exit from the island cut-off) that they keep seniors and under 21 locked down inside the house. Trying to grasp what it is they think we will catch if there's nothing floating around out there.

Just a simple question. How can you catch something that isn't present? I know, not a lot of testing, but with all of the information, you really have to be living under a big rock if you have a symptom and don't go get checked.

This is all a joke here, seniors are all over the city, notice they are not overloading the hospitals and dying in droves too.

I moved here from Bacolod. That city was totally corrupt. I liked Dumaguete, less corruption I assumed. But with this now, I am seeing that those in a position of power are just as bad as the rest. Disappointed, yes.

Now we await May 15 so the Pharaohs, Emperors and others can tell the peasants what to do next.

Agreed ... but still too irritated to comment further...
