Exactly why I didn't leave. I've been getting job offers left and right the last couple months and I've been contemplating taking one purely out of boredom but I don't want to get caught up with that "hurry up and wait"/"sorry the position has been filled" game the military/defense industry likes to play while in the US and then be stuck in my parent's basement or worse, have to rent my own place there. I still have ~1.5 years before my clearance goes inactive so I and wait to see what happens with the market/my investments to see if I even need to go back to work.
Hi btd, I just wanted to let you know that you can actually pick up your passport any day between 1 - 3pm even within next week. They will still be open but not for extensions at the moment. I've just been there today and picked up my 6 months visa extension, so I'm good! No worries at all this time in spite of the GCQ and anyways, they never lost my passport (so far...) despite the obvious mess.
Yes and haved lived here 13 years haha maybe get a document stating some kind of alternative or just disregard the 3 years and continue on if they will do that
