Yes, I am homeschooling a 6 year old and an eight year old, then we do the Dep.Ed exams at years end (Can do in Dgte in November, or walk in on most days in Manila), will only match the grade with age, even if your child is far ahead, you cant race ahead with the exams.....no Dougie Howsers

Not that I can think of except for his liking for a beer but so do we all.

I agree. Beer, wine, etc is ok for followers of Jesus IMHO because, generally speaking, most have a healthy spiritual mindset to handle it ok. But, of course some non-believers handle it ok, some not. My late uncle was a Jesuit priest and military chaplain, he drank brandy on occasion. I drink beer on occasion. Most Catholics are ok with having a few. Some non Catholic church groups seem to frown on drinking, some are ok with it. It varies even among members within all types of churches.

My Irish Catholic family were not shy about having a few and passed that talent to me to carry on.

The drinking of Alcohol or Gambling is frowned upon in some church groups because of the risk of addiction and the effects on family life.
Myself I drink in moderation and do the Lottery in the hope that despite the millions to one chance, I might just win and use it for the benefit of those less fortunate than myself.
No medals please, according to the teachings, if you are blessed with good fortune, it should be used for the good of all.
