At Why Not ordering a take out this morning, it was pretty crowded at 11:00. A guy who was talking that he was from Switzerland, apparently waiting to order, was not wearing a mask or maintaining social distancing (only person behaving like that). The help did not say anything to him or call the guard. Glad I had a mask on.
Kind of odd in Why Not. Two foreigners sitting playing backgammon, three others sitting there, one local lady sitting in the corner, one huge foreigner ordering, nobody of course eating. One stupid guy.
Most people once inside the Y Not remove their masks. See Marco there often too, same. Doesn't bother me. Just because they are open doesn't mean you have to patronize them if you are uncomfortable. I see people, both local and foreigner, walking with no masks, of course no one is within 20 feet of them so why bother. I don't wear one when I get in my car and drive. No one but me and sometimes the person I sleep with everynight in there. Windows up, air on, don't really see the point. When we get out, we put on our mask in order to not offend or be stopped.
Lets be honest here, you seriously think a 25 peso mask is going to save you, DREAM ON, when I go out yes I wear a mask, but not because it will save me, but because of the solidarity of wearing it, its purely psychological, anything else is pure codswallop
Masks are not meant to protect the wearer....they are to protect others from our sneeze or cough droplets. We wear them out of respect for others. The only masks that will provide the wearer any protection is an N95/respirator masks, which are very hard to come by.
Or, First Responder Firefighter type or military type gas masks. Again very hard to come by, and not the fashion statement some of these masks are now becoming.
