Which restaurants are in problems and will not survive?

    Have some of you already a view (or news) about the restaurants which will not survive this pandemic?

    Restaurants like PJ's, Octagon, Grumpy's, Latino, Pasta King, 2 Story kitchen just anything etc.

    Why Not will survive in my view, already there long before I came in 1999, enough Back-Up. Also Lan Taw and Mooons will get up but the small ones some depending on foreigners.

    I am not there at the moment, I suppose I am more comfortable in Europe this time (personal matter off course) but I get little news from there now.

    Any foreigner depending solely on income from a restobar is sure to struggle even in good times. If they could barely keep the lights on before all this nonsense there is little chance of their business surviving after all is said and done. I suspect there will be lots of properties, motorcycles and personal property coming up for sale on the cheap very soon if it hasn't already.

    Maybe some of those that were already open or thinking of opening in the area that Mafioso moved to, just past the Lantaw. Might be a hard restart if they even try. Was a hamburger joint in that group too.

    But I agree, Y Not, Sans Rival, Casablanca and those along the Blvd should be okay, the locals are still helping them and if and when tourism opens back up it will be just fine.

    Besides the places already mentioned, I guess those that currently offer take-out and delivery services will continue to survive also.

    Has anyone noticed inflation moving faster? I note that a pizza has gone up P30 and a set of batteries (from Shopee, under their 'Free Shipping', which is not free!) from P100 to P180. These are comparisons just before ECQ and just after it ended.

    Or has anyone noticed prices deflating?

    Mangos can be found cheaper. Everything else I regularly buy seems to be about the same price.
