I do wonder how this "30 per day" schedule will go though.
I reckon that even in normal times (before the Covid thing) they did many more than that each day. Now they've been closed for extensions for three months or so and they give people 30 days to get their visa current. I think 21 (work days) times 30 equals around 600 and 600 will be way below the number of people who need to extend.
If I'm correct with those assumptions then I can see it start raining penalties in July.

Absolutely ridiculous system they have, they can easily get through more than 30 per day as it would only take around 1 hour from opening to get to that number in normal circumstances.

What happens to people who end up having to pay penalties due to not being able to get their on time? They really should take into consideration those who have a 6 hour return trip to get to the office.

Did anyone ask the reason why they only can do 30 a day or would that mean banishment from the BI office .:bag:

When I was there, the young guy who works out front did ask me when my current expires. I am guessing if you are in a bad way, they may let you through that day. Only a guess.

I think many are incapable of keeping their mouth shut. I always wear noise cancelling headphones and keep the music blasting when around foreigners queueing in line to avoid the frustration of hearing it.

It was close to my turn so I was at the door ready to go in, and a few came and asked, told them it was close to expiry and the guy just pointed to the notice

that sort of question would certainly be met with a frown and a mental note of the face for next time, but considering its a 3 person operation, they seem to be operating a lot better than when they had 5 0r 6 there running around like headless chickens, getting in each others way, everytime i go there seems to be getting smaller and smaller with boxes of documents just mounting up and up, but it is a money making machine, there is enough vacant space around the city to upgrade a little make the place a little brighter maybe an air con or two, and some breed of privacy at the counter everyone knows your business, sure we all know why we are there, but it all comes down to as it always does to who owns the place and the connection they have

Always worth a shot, many times I ask the same questions only to get different answers on different days from different people. It's more fun in the Philippines
