Ooops. Not god to hear mate. They did a brain scan (found out I had one) and I have had heaps of other organ scans because of cancer and they found no cause of the mini stroke. All I got one morning was a numbness in the left arm as I was standing making a coffee in the kitchen. It was strange. Just felt like my arm and hand had disappeared. I made the coffee, sat down and it all returned to normal after about 10 minutes. Haven't experienced anything since and that happened about two years ago and guess what. I was on blood thinners at that time and had been for a long time because I thought when I turned 60 or so it was a good thing to do. Often think about you though mate because I understand yours was very severe and I certainly don't want that. Take my hat off to you though. Keep safe.

I am quite amazed by your reply.

YOU are the one who told me I misquoted WHO when I pointed out that it was only now (June 2020) that they seem to accept the wearing of masks by all people.

You defended the advice WHO gave back in April, which YOU quoted as "“Face masks worn by asymptomatic people are conditionally recommended in severe epidemics or pandemics, to reduce transmission in the community”

So I questioned how people (and you) would know if they are asymptomatic (or in any other covid-19 status) and pointed out that as no-one knows then the WHO's advice was pointless.

In reply, you blithely state that no-one would know and so should all wear masks!

You are agreeing with me and disagreeing with WHO but don't seem to be aware of it!

You would think so, wouldn't you! I think the human population has argued about that more than anything else in this pandemic.

But I agree with a posting @Rye83 made where he stated he uses his brain to decide if he is in a risk situation before using a mask. All 'expert' advice should be filtered by our own common sense.

The behaviour of people in this pandemic is a poor indicator of what is going to happen when a really serious crisis emerges - as one day it must.

Also, being bald is a major risk factor! But as you will see from my pic, no extra risk here.

I disagree. I am simply saying and have held the view all along that I believe it necessary for everyone to wear to wear a mask regardless of circumstance whilst this pandemic is going on.

Great - we agree on that 100%. It is just WHO who disagreed.

Im not sure when WHO first recommended masks but the passage I quoted was to show that it is WHO policy to recommend the wearing of. What the WHO did from what I saw was to wait until the figures reached what they set as the action points on the development of pandemics and didn't face up to what appeared to be a very fast developing trend. They were bound by there bench marks which in my opinion on this occasion was remiss of them but in hindsight it easy to be critical.

I've been wearing a mask for years, but nobody told me it's supposed to cover you mouth and nose! Lone Ranger.jpg
