Thanks for the info. What percentage of the people speak English? Do you have to learn Spanish to get along?
I would split my time between Italy and China (if I was allowed to stay!), with Guangxi and Guizhou provinces being favourite. However, with so much money, the point of residency is almost irrelevant as you could travel just about anywhere you wanted and be comfortable as home there.
There is a section of locals who make a living dealing with foreigners who speak excellent English, the native locals only speak Spanish but there is a large contingent of family oriented foreigners who have their own schools and business's with a social calendar for all who are interested.. I would have stayed there but came here to meet my wife and now have a son so here I will stay... Lots of vids on Youtube about Boquete though
I find the Chinese people, food and culture interesting. I've been to Guangxi and I loved it. Not been to Guizhou but understand it to be similar. I'm 50% Italian and have visited many times - love it there, but could not afford to retire there now.
I think your criteria apply to MOST here on this Forum and most expats in the Philippines - so WE will see you soon.
