All living things have the desire to survive - part of that process is to monitor the environment. It is of more importance to monitor those things which demonstrate a risk to something similar (ie. another foreigner) than to something which is not similar. There is no bias against Filipinos here. Many of the postings on this forum show the respect we all have for most of the people to whom this country belongs.
Could be because it happened in Cebu, not that close to home. This site normally contains things of local interest, not National items.
