As it is across the whole world - so for members to get into discussions about where the best people (or best class) live seems pointless and unkind. It also raises the point of what "best" means.

If "best" means most well-behaved then I would be indignant to live somewhere and be told that most who live there are not well-behaved. Just remember what many foreigners do for their communities.

To me, it's a choice if you are attracted by mountains with the cooler climate or the sea and beach. I live in Bacong because I'm attracted by the sea and beach. I would have no problem with living in Valencia, a nice area and many places to visit just outside the door, I go there often, 10 min away. The discussion where most high or low rank expats live is a joke, are we in the kindergarten again

    I don't know.
Is this a mistake or misprint, I bought land recently in Valencia 1.2klms from the Plaza for P2K a sqmtr, closer to town the price is nearer to P3k, even as much as 5K within 100mtrs of the park. I am considering to sell this land I bought but not definite about that?

If that is the house I'm thinking it is 1.5klms from the Plaza and near Tehero? the Guy is from Trumpistan and has to be excused if he has put an inflated price on it, still I do not understand a house and lot for sale and the price of the land is given? In my guesstimation the land in that area will be worth a half million for 250sqm and the small A frame house around 1 million, being a brand new build I would expect it to go for 2 Mill in total, some may pay more as it is a quaint little house, bear in mind this is just my personal opinion.

There has been a lot for sale on Aldecoa down from SUMC and it is has on its sign, drum roll please, 22,000P per square meter. It has been for sale for at least 5 years. I have no idea why it is taking so long to sell. :hilarious:

Is this commercial - as land prices for such are higher than residential. Don't know how small businesses can buy at the prices asked and still make a profit.

For some sellers of residential and commercial lots the thinking must be that someday it will sell as the asking price will come to match 'normal' prices due to inflation. Seems a strange way of thinking - but it depends if they are in no hurry and seek a fool (with his money soon parted). In a market with alternatives I cannot see anyone at all being that stupid.

There are many zoning laws here but like all other laws here in the Philippines there is no enforcement. A law without enforcement is just a laugh. Hahahahahahaha.. see!
