The title of the thread says El Amigo will open on 28 July, I believe today is the 26th so their FB seems to be accurate. If you are referring to Thunder Road I have been there and had food and drinks within the last 2 weeks. Unless something has changed since then, which I doubt since I see the gates open and vehicles in the parking lot when driving by, they are open for business.
OK cheers. Lot of confusion with the Thunder Road/El Amigo thing and maps all pointing at Thunder Road. Happen to know what time they are closing pm?
Out walking today. That is the restaurant that was under going a massive rehab. I went by it today and the music was playing and they were doing some finishing touches on the patio entrance. Did not ask it they were open yet or if the menu was available. Those interested, it is on Silliman Ave just west of Moon Café, not far off the Blvd.
Went by the El Amigo today. They are open from 11Am till closing with the curfew, Tuesday - Saturday. Still working on some things on the inside but dining is just out front, covered, but limited seating. Looked at the menu but never ate there before but looks like it might be the same, mostly Mexican with some local flavors and a few others. Next to the Moon on Silliman close to the Blvd.
Went and ate there yesterday. Service was good, prices not bad. Problem was many items were 'not available'. Growing pains maybe. Hot sauce is good too. Lightly fried tortilla chips with every dish. Food not overly spicy. Wife liked some, had second thoughts on others. She had 3 'not availables' so that might have influenced her a little. The calamaries were some of the best, not rubbery.
I went looking for El Amigo last night and couldn't find it. Found the Moon Cafe but no El Amigo. Have they gone under?
