    Anyone recommend a good lawyer for family type matters (specifically adoption)? Found an old post from 2011, but looking for more recent info. Thanks.

    I don't know (hoping someone can help you) but I assume you researched the internet for advice:

    Both links are from a Manila law firm - but I have no experience of them.

    I note an attorney in Dumaguete with a website (!) but know nothing of them: https://attorney.org.ph/component/rsdirectory/entry/view/505-maxino-partners-law

    Unrelated to your personal issue, but of general interest: I noted this from the 'Los Angeles Times' https://www.latimes.com/world/asia/la-fg-philippines-orphans-adv-snap-story.html and was quite shocked: "The Philippines has 1.8 million abandoned children". Reading this article, dated May 216, I understood why.

    I used Mike Miguel there in Dumaguete for my legal matters, but not sure if he does adoption cases.

    I am looking (for a Filipino friend) for an attorney specializing in family matters with expertise in custody. Since he is the father, it has been recommended that he have a female attorney representing him. Is there a female family attorney in/near Dumaguete with a good track record in custody disputes? So far, this is only before DSWD. They are stonewalling him in favor of the mother. (Not married). We are looking to find out what the law says his rights are. Save your opinions and anecdotes; need a licensed Filipina attorney. Thanks for the referral.
