I'm coming up on my 3 years leaving the country January next year. So I'm now applying for the SRRV. I'm 65 years old an not married so the clasic would be my choice. My gf has been doing my extensions for me. The below list is what the lady told her I need. With questions.
    1. PRA form
    2. Passport with 3 months tourist visa validity*
*How do I get 3 months stamp?
    3. Original NBI clearance*
*Is this one of the stamps in my passport?
    4. Proof of pension documents.*
*Only document I have is my bank statement from American bank wells Fargo
    5. Proof of visa deposit of $10,000
    5 1/2. 2x2 pictures.*
    * I'm not allowed out so how do I get the pictures taken.

    The fees
    6. PRA application $1,400
    7. Annual fee/SRRV ID $360
    8. Agency fee $360
    10. Notice of clients registration*
    * What is this

They also told my lady it's only good for 5 years an I have to renew.
***I thought it was permitted until I die. Do I have deposit $10,000 every 5 years? Or go through this entire process every 5 years?
Does anyone know of someone who can help me with this. Who I feel like there not trying to rip me off just because I'm white man.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks aka Mike

Find a marketer that works with the PRA. They are very helpful and will get a commission from the PRA. No cost to you.

    I recommend:

Mike, I believe you have been fed a lot of misinformation unless they have drastically changed. They have a FB page and are very good at responding. I suggest you contact them directly.

Also, beware because the SRRV is not one of the documents honored at the present for reentry into the country. Many of the holders outside the Philippines trying to get back in are upset and some are saying they will withdraw their deposits.

    Good luck.

What do you believe is misinformation? It looks accurate to me for a person who is 65 and did *not* serve in the military.

What about the 5 years. Does it expire?

It is not a immigrant visa so it is not permanent. My understanding is that you do not have to go through a renewal process but you do have to pay every year. You can pay three years in advance.

It would be best for you to get the answer from the Accredited Marketer. Let us know what they say.

I have a classic SRRV and been through a 3 year renewal and SkipJack is correct. Currently the 3 year renewal can be done in Manila or Cebu. I do highly recommend a marketer - they will ease you through the whole process and cost nothing (to you, PRA pay their fees). Mine was brilliant and I used her again for the renewal though that renewal process was extremely simple (with or without her). If you want another name for marketer please PM me but would suggest you get your marketer to put together these documents and ask you for the specifics - promise that it will make your life much easier as they do these often and know exactly what is required.
