Isn't that called 'assimilating' into the culture? You are now part of the Country and the culture. Congrats.
I'm already getting this crap from my SO at the moment. Not in the mood to deal with it from you too so I'm issuing you something I only wish I could give my SO, a reply ban.
It seems Rye that as soon as you get bored or backed into a corner on a discussion thread you 'pull' it. Maybe that's how you communicate with your SO too. That's not something I would normally comment on as it's your business, but you raised it. I could not give a toss about the particular discussion thread above, but I'm still trying to work out what is and is not acceptable to discuss here. It seems defending oneself is off limits, even when the Moderator insults you. Feel free to 'reply ban' me as you wish (although I've said all I feel I need).
Thank you ... another 'bucket list' achieved. That is why I set it up. Btw, re your name here, although it is none of my business, are you ever going to move into a house?
I pull posts and move them here to keep the original threads on topic, no other reason. Perhaps I should just delete them and issue warning points as forum staff does on almost every other forum. I always felt people had the right to exercise their freedom of speech here and was reluctant to to delete posts that weren't blatantly offensive or in violation of the forum rules. If you haven't figured out what is acceptable by now you likely never will. You can just carry on as you normally do and just accept whatever moderation, if any, comes your way. Or don't, I don't care. Done with both of you constantly whining and questioning every single moderator action taken on the forum. Going forward expect to see a more traditional forum moderation style.
hey, i am just curious. i assume that the this site is for profit? i cannot imagine anyone would put up with this or spend money on it unless there was some financial incentive. am i right? it would seem therefore that everyone associated with the site from moderators on up would have as a primary objective to expand site membership and keep existing membership happy and chating? yes? i am pretty new here. i do not know what kind of learning curve you expect or grant to newbys. i will agree a moderator needs to be a pretty strong personality and it helps that they are intelligent. two points for you!! but they should be able to rap knuckles with their ruler without making the kids cry!!
Not unless we buy one, right now the apartment is just fine. Happy Camper is an attitude, I find it better than Grumpy Old Man, which I am not, although I do have my moments.
