Hey, there! It's been a while since my last post in this forum but I am back with some great news to those who want to know more about the local culture by learning the local dialect or BISAYA/VISAYA. The Bisayan classes will be done via Zoom (3x a week plus one physical meeting ( with all health protocols applied). The Learn Bisaya Online is set on Sept., this year. Time will be agreed by the members but tentatively, the Zoom meetings will be held at 8 pm or if you have suggestions, feel free to share them here.
Have you heard, Glenda, of the 'interruptions', which sometimes take place during zoom meetings? You need your finger poised on the 'off' button.
Not a major problem, but there are (were?) people who hacked into Zoom meetings and showed very rude material on everyone's screens - some illegal. I am not sure if Zoom have now sorted the problem - it was why I suggested you keep your finger poised over 'off'.
I do think it is uncommon but that is what the media reports - "No obscene material shown on Zoom meeting for Company X" tends not to sell papers.
In connection with this, there will be a dry run or FREE TRIAL on Sept.4 via Zoom at 10:00 in the morning. A link will be posted here and all you need to do is click the link to join the class for free as it is only a trial run. However, you need to sign up with Zoom to be able to join. Having a Zoom account is also free. See ya!
