    One thing we may need to buy is a pick up, we already have a scoot but 4 up is a bit hard with all the shopping. :o o:

    Chaing mai prices are nuts, so many Chinese have brought property over the past 10 years and its had massive growth.
    We have a large circle of friends in Chaing mai, cannot remember how many times I have been.

    And yeah economy has been hit hard.

    The move was painless and we have adjusted into the laid back life of the Philippines. I am so glad that we made the decision to retire here.

    Same here after 9 months. It's not been a normal situation for 6 months of that and have also been renovating and kitting out the house, but hopefully we can soon start to fully enjoy Dumaguete, the Philippines and wider Asia in whatever 'normal' turns out to be. So far no regrets moving here though and hopefully can only get better.
