You are right. I was just trying to illustrate my frustration with not being let in. NO THERE IS NOT A DOOR/COVER CHARGE and the guards do not have a credit card reader at the front door. Sorry for the confusion.

I was there last week SUMC. I must admit I was a little confused. Step 1 Look on the board outside and look for the doctors phone number and phone for an appointment. Step 2 Once your appointment has been confirmed go get a priority ticket. Step 3 go to the person on the counter for your temp and show your ticket. Step 4 there is no step 4. Just go inside and ask that nice guard where is the doctor, in your case the lab.

I could not get in the door at SUMC. At ACE got in with no problems went to the Lab and ask for the test. They sent me to the information desk in the lobby. The lobby people gave me the lab slip to get the test done "I" wanted. That being A1c, PSA, blood test and a pee test. Then to the cashier to pay for the tests. then back to the lab where the blood was drawn and a cup of my pee was donated. Went back home for pannyoto. Back to ACE at 14:00 got results of my test and off to SUMC for a chat with the Doc. That is the rest of the STORY.

    I don't know.
    Hello Jim,

Do you think they would allow another person or two to go in with the patient? Or only the patient?

    Thanks in advance.

If it is not too personal, could you explain exactly what happened and if this is something that might affect us all or something between you and the hospital

I have never had a problem of that nature in either hospital. I did have someone in hospital garb remind me that there was only one "watcher" allowed. I pointed to my man Friday, (my handyman), and told him that he was the watcher and the Filipina was my wife and there for allowed as a visiter. He turned and left and that was the end of that. Tahee Bagio, (:poop: storm) avoided by "pissed off Jim". :sneaky:
I have, on a lot of occasions, had more than one with me in my room. :nurse: :cat: :cautious: How dose that go? "Where there is a will there is a way".

Then I will assume it is an issue between you and the hospital, but would have been nice had you explained that in your original post. I have a family and any problems using the hospital are of paramount interest to me and probably others here on this forum....
