    There are probably millions!

But take care as the wrong type of herb, or the wrong type of combination, could be disastrous - not to mention that a serious condition could be missed (sense of Déjà vu here! )

I can point you in the direction fo an old lady a least 100 years old a little ways up the mountain who has a potion for almost anything. The one I got was for an ear infection which had to administered outside with help from the neighbors and then what was left of it buried under a particular tree.

Did you at least get to keep the ear? Or did you have to pull a van Gogh?

Kept the ear but now as deaf as a post with it. And one doctor later after the potion treatment he blew a hole through the ear drum and that was it.

What do you think. Nope!. And I was accused of being a non-believer because that was why it did not work.

abrolaryo, most filipinos can direct you to one, esp in the mountains. many will not take any money however they all seem willing to accept food stuffs as recognition of their services. my wife is presently wearing little bags of secret ingredients to help her sleep. the sleep problem was a spell cast by a jealous cousin per the abrolaryo and the abrolaryo successfull reversed the curse so presumably the cousin is not sleeping well now. i personally went to one for curing of my psoriasis (no change). my experience is that filipinos trust the abrolaryo far more than "regular" medicine. keeping in mind that something like 85 percent of all complaints taken to a regular doctor will resolve anyway i am sure most abrolaryos have a good following. they also use black candles burned in the cemetary at midnight (tuesdays and fridays only please) to reverse curses and even to end the life of an evil person. black candles are available for sale outside of some catholic churches. in our area only the sibulan church has them to my knowledge. we keep a few in the house just in case
