No fiesta then. Non-residents of Valencia will not be allowed entry from Oct.10 to 13 as a way of preventing covid transmission. Anyway, those who are planning to have a taste of their crispy lechon should plan their visit before or after the mentioned dates.
How does one prove they live in Valencia and to whom would they need to show that proof to? Edit: I suppose my quarantine pass will work. This would be a perfect opportunity to use my icard, for the first time since I was issued one, but unfortunately immigration is out of stock.
I hope those checkpoints won’t be asking for residence certificates & stuff. I’d rather refrain from crossing the points.
To effect this mandate I am sure they will set up checkpoints on the borders going Valencia. P.S. I hate checkpoints. Military men holding big firearms, faces half covered while checking your documents...
I don't think it is something to be all that worried about. I've been the one in the uniform checking the IDs before. Most of them want to be there about as much as you want them to be there and they want things to go as smoothly and quickly as you do.
Was going very smoothly at the vheck point by GasnGo yesterday afternoon at 3pm. They were all asleep or feeding their faces lol!
Today at the checkpoint they told me "Valencia residents only". Showed my old quarantine pass (that has my name spelled wrong) without saying a word and they waved me on without question. However, I have only been stopped 1 out of 4 times I have drove through a checkpoint. The other 3 times the were sleeping, not present or just didn't care.
Passed by a checkpoint again a moment ago. Flashed the q-pass when stopped. I could have shown a hypermart receipt to get through as there was no way they could have possibly known what was written on the paper.
