When I read here in Dumaguete info, many times I get associated with the movie One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest with Jack Nicholson, are all Americans like that? Asking for a friend
You should try "Missouri Breaks" with Brando playing a crazy sharpshooting bounty hunter, trying to kill Jack Nicholson..... that was one of his best
I go back a bit further, the Thin Man Series Nick and Nora. Any Bogart movie. And I believe The Quiet Man to be John Wayne's best. Jimmy Stewart ranks up there too. Those were the good days of movies. Man do I feel old or is it nostalgic?
I wonder at what age nostalgia can first arise? As for 'Westerns', High Noon is my favourite - my asawa hates it!
For westerns my vote goes to "The Unforgiven" Clint's best portrayal of the real west (and that is saying a lot as he has done many awesome westerns .... "When you kill a man you take away all that he's got ... and all that he's ever gonna have" truer words ........
