    NMRN.....I'm speaking of course here in Cheshire UK. I believe also there are problems in Norfolk UK.
    Chances are with lack of employees due to Covid the birds have not been checked early enough.
    There are frozen birds of course available at present; which remain static at £10-£17 a bird, I would imagine a fresh bird at Christmas to be more expensive this year. £30-£40;

    :cautious: Shepherds don't eat Lamb normally, if you were a Shepherd would you normally? They would tend to eat Cottage pie which is generally Beef based. BUT I tend to think you knew that:hmmm:

    But am I incorrect that beef is cottage pie and lamb is shepherd's pie? If we cannot agree, or research it, then I suggest a duel at noon tomorrow. :smile:

    Either way I think depends where you come from .... In England, the birthplace of this hearty dish, shepherd's pie is most often made with a ground lamb filling. In the States, it's more common to use ground beef. Both are delicious, and lamb can easily be subbed into this recipe.

    It's a lamb shop, next time I will see if they have pie too. You get around 4 slices in mint sauce with roasted potatoes and vegetables. Lamb is tender and tasty, good quality but portions do not make me full need some desserts on top

    To be a Shepherds pie it should be minced meat with a mashed potato topping grilled with sometimes cheese and and sliced tomato on top.

    Cranberries are just in our backyard, no need to buy it in the market. My kiddos love to eat cranberries, especially in the morning with an empty stomach.
