Having a positive test result after death just tells me one, you can die with Covid not necessarily from it, and two, money comes from PhilHealth whenever Covid is involved.

What it means is, it took a few days, after she died, for the test result to come back from Cebu. Soon there will be a functioning lab at NegOr Provincial Hospital.

Exactly. There has to be a reason to travel - take away the reason and you take away the travel. All they need to do is ban mixed household gatherings for two days and, bingo, no reason to go into the city except for the usual mundane day-to-day things, which can then carry on as normal. There's no need to restrict travel.....but I bet they will!

There is a flaw in your logic. There is no way to enforce a "ban mixed household gatherings for two days".

The only reasonable choice is to ban travel into the city.

I'm not sure that the extent of enforcement is that important. If they tell everyone that mixing is banned, most will observe and some will ignore, as with every other rule.

According to the press releases they already have it operational. It was lauded last month I believe. Or was I just dreaming?

It is not running yet. I do not know the delay. This was reported in the MetroPost in a story about Guihulngan and posted here on another thread.

This is interesting,is this done here?

Tracing Ambat’s contacts days prior to testing positive was done efficiently, thanks to their local government unit’s (LGU) standard operating procedure (SOP) of requiring a diary for all members of the community who constantly go out to attend to essential purposes such as buying groceries or working in a job. This diary contains all the places an individual has been to along with the different people he has interacted with.
Dr. Beverly Lorraine Ho, Director IV of the DOH’s Health Promotion Bureau, said that contact tracing methods like the one mentioned above, although done manually, is an integral part of the nation’s overall data management system. The health official also added that every touchpoint in gathering data relevant to COVID-19 is significant in helping the DOH and other government agencies in making informed decisions.
