    I don't know.
Here in Dumaguete a Chinese or Indian vaccine will probably be available before an American or European vaccine.

Here is a link to an article stating that one million people have already been vaccinated with Chinese Sinopharm vaccine.

    https://edition.cnn.com/2020/11/20/asia/china-sinopharm-vaccine-test-intl-hnk/index.html

There is also an extreme variability in price.
Pfizer $32 USD per dose two required = $64 USD
Moderna $22 USD per dose two required = $44 USD
Johnson & Johnson $3 USD only one required = $3 USD

Reports from China = $60 USD for two doses.
In Jiaxing the vaccine will cost about $60 for the required two doses

    https://edition.cnn.com/2020/10/23/asia/yiwu-china-vaccine-intl-hnk/index.html

What will be the issues? How will we know that the vaccine that becomes available here is legit and not fake?

Legit/fake -the question is: Will there be any difference?

There is no way I'm getting vaccinated with any vaccine that was rushed through the studies phase. I will leave the dubious honor of becoming a "human guinea pig" to the naive and fear filled masses that exist in every generation.

BTW, do you think it would make sense to get vaccinated with two different vaccines. The reason I'm asking is Pfizer/Biontech is a m/RNA vaccine and the Astrazeneca/University Oxford a vector-based vaccine. I searched a bit in the internet, but could not find an answer to this. Anyway, being a layman I just thought maybe this could give you a double protection.

Good point. I cannot see how there would be any interaction (in the way certain drugs interact by forming different compounds) but I would be concerned about overloading the immune system response. That is an unknown as this is such a new virus with many strange effects (e.g. long covid) and I am not sure they would take the risk of testing it on human subjects.

Over to you my critics for a superior response - which, incidentally, I will read with interest and appreciation.

Ahhh ok, well if YOU "cannot see" how there would be any interaction, then that settles it. You cannot see.

I think you will find it is a vaccine like any other for a virus and that is it is particular to this particular strain. Next year it could evolve into something different and a variation of the vaccine will be required or in the case of this particular Corona , a new one will again be required. Your remark about the Chinese one lasting 24 hours is unnecessary I think although it could be reasonable to suspect that the effectiveness of that vaccine may be questionable given the standard of most products from China. IMHO.
