Understand PhilHealth cover for foreigners as of Jan.01, 2021, due to increase from 3,600p p.a. to 15,000p p.a. Is this correct? What do do?

You'll be listed as a dependent, but as far as I know that option no longer exists for a foreigner and you have to register singularly, cost P17k. If you've managed to somehow only pay P2.3k per year that might be because the new higher fee only applies to new members.

Not sure if you mean me. New members after 1st July have to pay the 17k whatever it is now, (talking about foreigners.) As for me it's free. Used phil-health this March.

Two rates for foreigners: 15K and 17K per year, depending on type of visa. Wife paid mine today: 17K with ACR, good until 31 dec 2021. No longer as a dependent on wife's policy.

30 bucks a month for some health cover? Sounds pretty good to me. And given the cost of a week in hospital, bloody good value I think.

I'm curious what justification they gave for charging foreigners more. Is Phil Health subsidized by tax payer money?

In addition, Z-packages are not available for foreigners. You can google it for details.
