Do you feel depressed during these pandemic times? If you are. How do you deal with it?

No. Working out, learning new skills and finding stuff to do with minimal contact with others has me feeling better than I ever have. I think that last one has been the biggest positive for me; I now have an excuse to look disgusted at handshakes and at expats invading my personal space to share their boring stories/personal drama and ask me the same questions that I've already heard/been asked a thousand times.

I don't think there's a rating emoji for that, but here's one that might sum up your comment. Not intended as a negative, as your thing is your thing. :taunting:

Not at all, my life is about the same as it was before the pandemic right now. All except travel, that I do miss but that too will pass. Liked Rye's comment, I think many would agree that less contact with him is for the better.

Good Q. It’s seems us gnarly misanthropic ex-pats are doing just fine. No surprises there. But for anyone that ain’t, regular routines, keeping as active as possible, keeping alive the connections that mattered before the dreaded D came along will be very protective.

I need to shift my hourly rate up. Took me all of 2 hours to dream up that answer. And it was free. Bah.

    cheers C

Someone, or some, may disagree with me, but is it not a good thing to project (or 'skip') into the future - by which I mean to imagine being one those trips at some future time. This is not the same as 'missing' something now but is accepting (a useful concept) that it is available in time.

As an example, my niece was scared of delivering her baby - I suggested she stopped focusing on the birth but instead projected her thinking into the future and imagined the times she will be with the child, playing on swings, going for walks, swimming (anything that could be a fun future activity). It seemed to help her - she said!

If you start thinking of being in some exotic place and are giving birth then I have confused you!

I wonder why ghe rating icons are missing from this one. Mine would be Winner. He is best left well alone I think. And if he expressed that sentiment with most of those who sit outside Ynot and enjoy chats with mates, he would be quickly told to Pi** Off!

Geeeze I hope I dont give birth........... :arghh:

Actually been busy thinking of the future or more so planning for it. Been selling off a lot of stuff ready for when we can get on a plane safe.

Just sold a property that the ex and I owned finishing of that episode in my life. Also my Harley just went, first time since I was 19 years old that I haven't owned a Harley.

Im sure a fair few of you have gone through that process, its rather cleansing getting rid of everything.
